There are a lot of online links floating around that claim to be some sort of checkers for viruses and worms. I found one such link. It goes something like http four cs uni bonn de fileadmin user_upload werner cfdetector. What is this for?

The cfdetector indicates that it has something to do with the Conficker worm. You need to be careful with these links though. You never know what they might be. Confiker worm first sighted in 2008.

It is a particularly nasty worm to defend from. It uses many modern malware techniques. Additionally, the number of systems infected by this worm was huge! At some point, around 9 million systems were infected. This worm takes advantage of the shortcomings of the Windows operating system.

The number of infected systems has come down since. Once again, I will suggest you to only use official Microsoft tools to scan your computer and check if you are infected instead of clicking on some online links.
