Hi,

I have some issue related to the Internet Explorer Platform Preview.  I want to install it to my system that runs under Microsoft XP Home with service pack 3 installed. When I try to install, it will not.

It says, it does not support version older that windows 7.

Windows Internet Explorer platform Preview does not

Support any operating system earlier than Windows 7.

As I thought The Internet Explorer Platform Preview will run on all versions of windows. I really want to explore on  what new benefits would this version will give us and I can't instantly migrate to windows 7.

Does anybody there has done installing The Internet Explorer Platform Preview on windows XP home?

Thanks!

Hi there, Annie here

I'm sorry to say this, but Internet Explorer Platform Preview is made only for Windows Operating Vista and 7, it does not support any version of windows below that.

This is a move by Microsoft and they specifically said that they will not create a version or support for it for any version of windows below Vista. I'm sorry but this is Microsoft's decision and there's nothing we can do here to help you with your problem.

The only advice I can give if you really want to use Internet Explorer Platform Preview is to upgrade to newer versions of windows, either this is what Microsoft is aiming for is a mystery for me.
