Hello,

Today, I was attempting to install the National Instruments driver but an error message displayed during the installation saying “The “NI-488.2.2.8” installation has failed with the following error”. Is this really a problem with Windows installer? I have tried to reinstall this driver but could not find any improvement. I need help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The software that you are installing may require you to run the installer with Administrative rights. Right-click on the exe file Or the installer file and then click Run as Administrator. It can also be that your installer is corrupted. Download the National Instruments from the link below and try to install it again:

Download National Instruments

Another way is to temporarily disable the UAC or the User Account Control feature. This might be the cause of the issue.

Hello,

The error generated is due to the damaged setup of the driver. Follow these steps:

1) Delete the downloaded file from your system.

2) Click this to download the new driver for your compatible system.

3) Check your compatible driver and download it.

Install the drivers and you will got not get any error now.

Hope this helps,
