Hello everybody, I have been using DD10 for a very long time. Last I installed the latest version of DD10 using OS Win XP and it worked smoothly. I recently upgraded my OS to Windows 7; I installed all the software that I am used to using. All the others were fine but when I try to install DD10 an error message shows as follows:

The product cannot be installed on the platform

Acronis Disk Director Suite

License Restrictions

The installation program has detected restrictions imposed by the license
agreement for this product.

The product cannot be installed on the platform: the current operating system is not
supported

                                                      Back               Next                Cancel.

Is it possible to install DD10? Please advice, share how to fix this. I really need this. Important!

Hello

As per the error message it clearly shows that its not compatible with Microsoft's windows operating system 7. This generally happens due to release of a new version in the market. DD10 works fine on Microsoft's windows 7. Acronis has host of other similar products and you can download it from their site.

Here is the link for all the update and news

The problem is obvious: you are installing the application on an unsupported operating system. Before upgrading your operating system to Windows 7, you should have checked which of your applications will run on the new operating system and which will not. The reason why Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 works on your Windows XP is because your previous operating system is supported.

Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 supports Windows NT 4 Service Pack 6, Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4, Windows XP Service Pack 2, and Windows Vista. You cannot install a program on an unsupported platform. If you want to continue using Acronis Disk Director Suite, you should upgrade to a much newer version like Acronis Disk Director Suite 11.

It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It requires 800 MHz or faster processor, 256 MB RAM, 800 x 600 minimum screen resolution, and 150 MB free space. Also, EFI computers are not supported. If you have a much newer operating system, you can download Acronis Disk Director Suite 12. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.
