My computer is running on Windows Vista. Whenever I open it, a notification that updates should be installed is always popping up. After clicking the balloon and restarting it, the message will still appear. Is there something wrong with my system or the updates are just that quick?

Hi,

This is not a big problem at all. Windows sometime do that. You have to know that regular windows update is not so necessary at all. Just ignore it. But if this kind of notification appears regularly, it may bother you. Better you may turn of this notification temporarily. This mean, when you need to update the windows, just turn it on.

To turn off the windows update program, go to control panel from start menu. Select windows update. In there, you will find the option to turn off automatic update.

Close the window. The notification will not bother you anymore.

Hello Dear,

Actually this is not so important at all. You don’t need to all the update but some important one. At first,

1. Right click on the free space of the system tray and click on properties

2. Now go for the customized notification button

3. Hide the notification named Windows update notification

4.Click ok

Now, to get only the important updates,

1. Go to the control panel from start menu

2. Select windows update

3. Select change setting

4. Under important update option, select check for updated but choose whether I update of install them

Save this setting.

Thanks for having your time
