Insert a new page in a word 2007 document

How do I insert a new page to a word 2007 document without disrupting the rest of the pages? If i insert a page break, it shifts the rest of the typing down and I want it to stay as it is. I just need to insert a blank page to type something else on.

Actually I little bit confused with your question. If you are familiar with the Microsoft Word 2007 under the insert menu there are three main tabs, Cover page, Blank page and Page break.  So you said that you do not need to use Page break, you can easily insert a blank page using the “Blank Page” tab. It will input a blank page that where you want. But in Microsoft Word 2007 you cannot open another new page in the same window like in Excel.

Other vice you can just enter down the text that you typed until the page become blank.

Hi Pifmgr,

From what I understand, you want to insert a page in your existing word file without disrupting other pages.  I am using Word 2007, so I uploaded some screenshots for you.

To Insert a new page:

Click anywhere you want to insert your new page on your document.  The Insertion  point, small vertical blinking line, can either be on the start of the paragraph or the end of the paragraph.

Click Insert tab, found at the top of your Word 2007.

Click Blank Page (this inserts a new page at the cursor position)

=======

If what you meant is to start fresh – new file, just press and hold the "Ctrl" key and press "N".

Hope this helps
