Information on Capture software on Mac

I am in need of a capture software for my Mac since I need to capture arbitrary regions I could use it every now and then.

Hi Meleney,

Your question kind of confuse me. What do you mean information capture? Do you mean you are looking on capturing anything from your screen?

If that's the case then its very easy. You don't need a program or an application to do it. I am using a Mac too so I really know how to do it.

If you want to capture you're full screen: Shift + Command + 3

If you want to capture specific part of the screen:  Shift + Command + 4

Your captures will be automatically saved as screenshots on your desktop.

For capturing your desktop or even your websites that you navigate, you can use the  build-in functionalities of your mac.

If this will not fit your needs, you can also focus on other alternatives like:

  1. Capture Me – this will capture the screen and also record any actions as video.
  2. LittleSnapper – this is I think the best tool that can achieve your tasks. With Snap Away functionality you can select specific regions that you need to capture. With this program you can also organize your screenshots in your own collection.
