Image Security System of Windows 8

 Windows 8 has many awesome applications. One of its awesome apps is its picture password. Picture password is quiet secure and no one can decipher it easily.  You can choose any picture from our hard drive and use your own gestures on the picture and set password.

When you are using picture password, the image which you have selected will appear after booting your window. You have to drag your cursor in that way three times which you have set as password. Without matching all three innings, your PC will not log on. 

The instructions in setting up the Picture password are as follow:

Step 1: Open control panel by clicking on windows start button and clicking on control panel in metro GUI window.

Step 2: In control panel interface click on “Users” tab.

Step 3: Under this user tab you can observe a field labeled as Picture password. Under this category you will see a button labeled as Create a Picture password click on this button.

Step 4: On clicking this button, you will be asked to enter your account’s password and click on OK button and proceed. If you password is correct then you will be lead to another window.

Step 5: Now in this new window, you will get some description about picture password. After reading click on “Choose picture” button to move ahead.

Step 6: On clicking this button, another window will appear on your screen. Using this screen select your desired image from your hard drive. To browse click on GO up button.

After selecting image click on Open button (highlighted).

Step 7: If you are happy with this image the click on Use this picture button in new window else click on Choose different picture and follow similar procedure.

Step 8: In the next window you have to set 3 gestures. Make sure all the three are in different place and are easy to remember.

After setting gestures, you will be asked to enter the gesture again enter same gesture. If you have entered wrong gesture then you will get a window as shown in below image else a new window will which states you have successfully, in this window click on OK button.
