Hi Josiemelissaa,

Fedora is a yum-based distribution so for installing Totem you open up your terminal then enter sudo yum install totem
to get Totem .

Now for Xine its also the same all you need to do is open your terminal and enter yum -y install xine to get Xine and all its libraries on your fedora. that's it

Hope that helps you

Totem is the official movie player for the GNOME desktop environment that is based on GStreamer. If you have the latest distribution running on your computer, there is a high possibility that Totem is already installed because it is the default video player of the GNOME desktop environment. But if you don’t have the latest distro, you can still install it via online repository.

Since you are using Fedora which is a yum-based distribution, use this command to install Totem using online repository:

  • $ sudo yum install totem

To install players such as mplayer, vlc, or xine on your Fedora Linux, you need to add RPM Fusion. The RPM Fusion repository can be added via the following commands:

  • # install RPM packages

Once RPM Fusion has been installed, use these commands to install the following:

  • yum install mplayer-gui
  • yum install xine
  • yum install vlc

After installing it, the next thing that comes to mind is how to use it. For VLC, run the command without quotes “#vlc”. For Xine, type the command without quotes “#xine”.
