The most annoying thing is when you want to work on your computer and it fights back.  There are a couple reasons why your computer is giving you a charge and a couple solutions.  It could be the humidity in the room.  When there is low humidity, static charge will build up around electrical devices.  A humidifier will help if the room is really dry and causing static.  Of course do not put it too close to the computer as you do not want condensation on the computer, you just want to fix the air.  If you have shag carpeting you can also stop rubbing your feet on the carpet.

If this doesn't work then you can check and make sure the computer's power cords are all nice and tight, not chewed on by small animals (puppies), and plugged in correctly.  If they are all correct and nice and tight, move the cord to a different three-prong outlet.  You can also get an antistatic wrist guard with grounding.

Now, you bought the humidifier, your power cord is just like new and you have changed plugs and made sure the connections are all nice and tight and your computer is still shocking you.  There is a power surge and it is either coming from the computer and you need a new one or it is coming from the house and your wiring is old and needs to be repaired.  You can get your computer diagnosed by a repair center and you can hire an electrician and get them to check your wiring.

I think something wrong with your earthing system.

Either it may be something wrong with your earthing system of your entire house or may be something wrong with the power code or plug connect to your computer.

Hence first check the power cables & plugs properly & see whether earth cable of the power cable & earth pin of the plug top is in order.

Then check the performance of you plug base. If everything is in order, it is advisable to check your house’s entire earthing system from a experienced electrician.
