Since you cannot literally “uninstall” Microsoft Internet Explorer because it is built-in to the operating system, you can disable it in Microsoft Windows. Disabling this feature from the operating system is the same as uninstalling it.

By disabling and re-enabling Microsoft Internet Explorer, it’s like you also uninstalled and reinstalled the browser. To disable it in the operating system, click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “Add or Remove Programs”. In the “Add or Remove Programs” screen, click “Add/Remove Windows Components” on the left pane.
