How can I protect my Workbook from being copied by others? Can I prevent others from copying the contents of a cell from my Workbook? Where can I set a password to my workbook? Can I set a password so that people can have only read access and be able to modify it? How do I do this?
I want to prevent my Workbook from being modified
As you can see in the first and the second figure, while saving as 'save as' you can find TOOLS at the bottom. Click there and go to GENERAL OPTIONS.
There you can give password to modify.
Next time someone wants to open the file, he will need to give password for modifying and can only read the workbook without password.
