I require a free anti virus software

Hi there,

I have been using Norton anti virus software for quite sometime now, and have recently upgraded to their most recent version. But the thing is, the Norton antivirus is not that much effective any more as it was around a decade ago.

I am open to any other solution, be it Norton's higher caliber security suite or do you recommend jumping ship to another anti virus software, and if so which one?

Hi Knowles Cooke,

As an antivirus, Norton is not bad. You already know that “Yahoo” also uses Norton antivirus for their security. If you think you are not satisfied about this antivirus performance then you can use another one. Now at the top list antivirus are Avast, Avira, ESET, AVG etc.

Personally I used Microsoft Essential Security, it is a free product of Microsoft. So, you can use it. No need any serial key or you should not purchase it for now.

Dear user,

There is no doubt that the functions quality of Norton antivirus has been changed, it was a good antivirus software in some time.

There are many other good antivirus software which you can easily download and are available for free, such as, AVAST antivirus Software, Avira AntiVirus software, Bitdefender Antivirus,  Ad-Aware Antivirus+ 10 and many more.

If you have a pc with good capability and a high GB ram, then, you can also install there latest versions.
