I received an error message indicating “Protocol Unknown”

Hi Experts,

The problem is with my PCM. While patching Impala SS lt1 w/ 4l60e I received an error message indicating "Protocol Unknown". My USB and Serial tools are also showing the same error message. Is it possible to make it ok through troubleshooting? Do you have any idea? Please help.

I received an error message indicating “Protocol Unknown”

Hi Helenmarmstead,

I search some solution that may help you solve your problem. Try to off your firewall:

1. Click start.

2. Locate Control Panel and click it.

3. Go so System and Security and click it.

4. Click Windows firewall. On Update your Firewall Settings check Turn off firewall settings.

If your browser enables the proxy service, try to turn it off.

1. Click start and Locate Control Panel

2. Click Internet Options under the Connections tab

3. For Dial-up just press Settings button but if you are using broadband choose LAN settings.

4. Uncheck Automatic Configuration.

5. Uncheck Proxy Server then click OK.
