I’m getting error extracting file in Winrar

Can anyone help me? I am having a hard time here trying to unzipped a *.rar file that contains a folder with several files, using WinRAR 3.30. I right click on the file and click, "extract here".

The procedure starts, but there is an error message saying: “Invalid or Corrupt authenticity Information”. The file gets extracted though, regardless of the error message. I remember, when there's an error message occurred, the extraction would stop. Is the extracted file corrupt?

The folder with the files seems to be ok for me. But should I worry about the thighs?

Do not worry if you receive the “Invalid or corrupt authenticity information”. You may ignore it and continue with the extracting process. It simply means that the person who post or compressed the WinRAR archive used an unregistered or an older version of WinRAR software whereas you are using the newer version.

Nevertheless, the contents of the file should not be affected by the error. However, it is still necessary to check and ensure that the file works properly. If the file is indeed corrupted, you may try to do a repair. Go to Tools and click Repair Archive (Alt+R). If “Repair Archive” did not solve the problem, then a file replacement is needed.

It seems that you are facing this error because of fake keys rather than a corrupt copy. Here is the reason of error message you are facing:

An archive is created by using some kind of AV switch (used to add information about the archive and the archive creator), which shows that the data files is corrupted or have some kind of error. It may also due to the reason that archive data are damaged or have a corrupt rarreg. A key which is used to add authenticity information. To avoid such problems its better to use purchased copy of winrar/rar versions.
