Hello there,

I have problems connecting to Sky broadband despite recently changing the internet service provider from AOL to SKY. After contacting the sky customer care, I was told that I had to possess a NIC Card. However, I do not know what this card is. Any suggestions on how I would solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi Gracekmakris!

A NIC card or Network Interface Card/Controller(sometimes called Network/LAN Adapter) is a device used to connect a computer to a network.

If the ISP suggested that you purchase a NIC Card, then you should try looking into these sites:

http://www.planet.com.tw/en/product/product_list.php?id=264

https://www.skycomp.com.au/networking/network-card.html

Check the above sites so you know what you are looking for and their prices. You can also just purchase them or you can check out computer hardware stores near you. You can ask a technician to install the NIC Card in your machine if you do not know how to do it.

I hope this helps.
