I Have Installed An Application; And I Face A 0x80040900 Error Message

0x80040900 error is an Outlook error, which is caused by an error in the email client program setup. Generally, a mistake in the incoming/outgoing server’s name, port number, or server authentication can result in ‘0x80040900 error.’

The other possible cause of this error is Network Connecting Issue, corrupt PST file, Issue with Anti-virus and Firewall Settings, Incorrect Account Setting, and lower server timeout.

The steps to fix the 0x80040900 error are as follows:

• Make your Internet Connectivity strong and active.
• Fix the corrupt PST file by the PST repair tools.
• Temporarily disable or uninstall the Anti-Virus.
• Open the Outlook Account Settings and in Change Account setting, click on More Settings and click on the Advanced tab and increase the server timeout.
