I am getting an error when I try to install Windows MS Office 2007. The message reads,

I don’t what this is and I don’t know how to proceed. I need assistance please.

Error:

Microsoft Office

Microsoft OneNote 2010 encountered an error during setup

Error 2203. An internal error has occurred. (C:WindowsInstaller53ec5.lpl -2147287035 ) Contact Microsoft Product Services (PSS) for assistance”.

This error may occur on computers with versions of the Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation utility installed that are older than version 7.8.0.914.
 
The root cause of the issue is that the permissions on the following folders have been changed:
 
  • C:WindowsSystem32winevt
  • C:WindowsSystem32winevtLogs

Hi Cherrie Gill,
 
I think you are using windows 7 or windows vista. This error may be occurred because of the default temporary folder (%temp%) having insufficient permissions assigned to it.
 
Just follow these steps to overcome this problem.
 
Add the everyone group with Full Control permissions to the Permissions list of the default Temp folder:
 
1. Click the Windows menu button (formerly the Start button) or press the Windows button on the keyboard.
 
2. In the Start Search box type %temp% and then click the Temp folder item that appears at the top. 
 
3. At the top of the Explorer window, in the address bar, click the folder to the left of Temp in the folder path (Local by default).
 
4. In the folder list, right-click the Temp folder and then click Properties and then click the Security tab.
 
5. Click the Edit… button and on the next screen click Add.
 
6. On the next screen, in the large text window type Everyone and then click Check Names – Everyone should then be underlined.
 
7. Check the box for Full control under the Allow column, and then click OK, then OK again, and OK again to close all the windows.
 
Run the Office 2007 installation again.
 
NOTE: If you are unable to perform the above steps on Windows Vista Home Edition, you may need to enable the Administrator account:
 
1. Click the Windows menu button or press the Windows button on the keyboard.
 
2. In the Start Search box type CMD and then right-click the CMD.exe item at the top and select Run as Administrator.
 
3. At the command prompt in the window, type the command: NET USER ADMINISTRATOR /ACTIVE:YES and then press Enter.
 
4. Type the command: NET USER ADMINISTRATOR <Password> and then press Enter (where <Password> is a password of your choice). 
 
5. Log in with the Administrator account and repeat the steps in the "Resolution" section.

If this is could not solve your solution then I have more another way to solve this problem as well.

Remove Office 2007 and install again the original version.

1. Download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

2. After that please installed it. Check Office 2007 entry is displayed on the list and remove it. If there is not in the list just skip on.

3. Then remove installation files.

4. Remove all the files and folders of MS Office.

5. Try to install the original release version of a 2007 Office suite.
