I Face 0x8024402c Error While Installation Of Windows

0x8024402c error is a Windows Update error that usually occurs when Windows cannot search for new updates. In most scenarios, the user fails to update their OS because of Internet issues, as stable internet is necessary for Windows Update Server to connect to the device. A 0x8024402c error can occur due to several other reasons, such as:

Solution 1:

Fix proxy issues

Step 1: In Cortana’s search box, type Internet Options and click on the result.
Step 2: Open the connection tab and select LAN settings.
Step 3: Select “Use a proxy server for the LAN.”
Step 4: Open the Advanced tab.
Step 5: Delete everything in the “Do not use a proxy server for addresses beginning with” field.
Step 6: Click, OK.

Solution 2:

Disable Windows Defender Firewall

Step 1: Type “Firewall.cpl” in the search box and hit Enter.
Step 2: Select “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off” option.
Step 3: Select “Turn off Windows firewall” under “Private Network Settings.” Repeat the step for Public Network Settings.
Step 4: Click, OK.

Solution 3:

Remove the Junk file.

Step 1: Type “cmd” in the search box, and select Run as administrator from the results.
Step 2: Now, type “cleanmgr” and click Enter.
Step 3: Hold a while until the scan completes and when it gives the results, click on OK to delete all the junk files.
