Hello Friends,
I can’t open any .swf files from Photoshop. I’m getting several scan error in my event viewer. Is it possible that I’m affected by a virus? My FPROT antivirus can’t seem to fix the error I’m getting and I can’t see any related articles online.
Thanks.

I can’t open any .swf files from Photoshop
Hi,
I would like to inform you that the .swf cannot be opened by any Photoshop applications. You’ll need to download and install the Adobe Flash Player from the Adobe website http://www.adobe.com  it is a freeware and can open .swf files on your computer.
If the Antivirus program installed on your computer is not detecting threats, try updating it manually. If it does not get updated, please make sure your computer’s date and time is correctly set. Still if it does not help, try installing another Antivirus program like Eset NOD, McAfee, Avira, Avast, Norton. These are very good and popular Antivirus programs.
Thanks and regards,
Skarbos Jay.

The SWF or “.swf” file extension is a Shockwave Flash file format. It was originally by Macromedia and is now owned by Adobe. The letters “SWF” means “Small Web Format”. This file may contain video and vector-based animations and sound. This file format is designed for efficiency in delivering content over the web.
You can view SWF files using a web browser but to do that, you need to install Flash Player which is then used by the web browser to play SWF and other flash media content. There are different versions of the Flash Player plug-in according to web browsers. You can download the following Flash Player versions depending on the web browser you are using:
At the moment, the latest PPAPI version has a bug discovered several weeks ago. The latest Adobe Flash Player 23.0.0.162 PPAPI version breaks on Opera and you will not be able to play Flash media content on your web browser. As a workaround, install the previous version Flash Player PPAPI 22.0.0.209.
