I am getting an error message in Windows Server 2003 which says ‘svchost.exe application error. The instruction on Ox6F8917C2 which is referred to as Ox6F8917C2 is not clear. The memory cannot be read. Select ‘OK’ to exit and select ‘CANCEL’ for debugging the program.’  If anybody knows how to solve this problem, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

This error indicates that your windows is somehow corrupted and need to be repaired or in some cases, you need to install the windows again. But installing is a lengthy process and if there is a solution to it you should better try it first. Here is the guide to help you. Hope it does.
First of all update your Windows Server 2003 to Service Pack 1 or SP1. This will resolve most of the issues and will make windows work faster.
After that, install the hotfix 895575. This is a specific fix that was released by Microsoft to tackle this problem.

There is another method that I had done myself a while ago in order to stop this error. Try this one too if this error keeps coming.
You have to stop the SVCHOST.EXE to be started.
Go to Start and in Run type msconfig.
In the Services tab, scroll down until you find Windows Driver Foundation Option or something like that.
Uncheck this option. Apply all and click ok.
After that restart your computer and it will not appear again.
