It says that I am using Via drivers with an AMD Processor. Is this correct?

Can I use AMD drivers. Would this be the reason why my computer is too slow at the moment ?

Any help ?

Yes it is possible to have a VIA chipset paired with an AMD processor.  If the chipset is VIA, then you should install VIA chipset drivers, not AMD.

There are a lot of factors that may be affecting your computer's speed.  To ease your mind that the device drivers are not the cause of the slow down, get the latest drivers for your motherboard through the manufacturer's website.  Open up your CPU case and look for the motherboard brand and model number on the board itself.  Go to the manufacturer's website and look for the support section.  Usually it will have a search facility where you can enter the model number and the site will give you a list of drivers for that particular model of motherboard.  This is the most surefire way to get the exact drivers and driver versions that are compatible with your motherboard.

You don't need to go to bios for your processor and RAM configuration.

You can check them by simply going to START and then to RUN and type "dxdiag" here you can see all of your PC performance and also test your hardware. I don't know why you describe the BIOS functions may be you want to increase you processor clock speed to increase the speed of your pc. But it can harm your PC and this is not the best way.

To increase the speed of your PC you can arrange a new RAM for your PC it will not only increase you PC speed but will also reliable for your AMD drivers. You can update you drivers form any of the website form net. Keeping the drivers up to date can help in the better performance of the system also.
