Hi,

I am facing a sudden problem in my canon pixma 830. After working nicely for several hours it suddenly stopped showing a message error code 6a00 with a flash in the monitor. Now nothing is working with the device. I contacted with the canon service team but they could not give me any solution. I was wondering how to fix this problem.

Hello Jay,

Error 6a00 is a generic error with Canon Pixma 830 Printer. This error can be cleared out by restarting/reboot  the machine.

Try these steps out.

• Turn Printer Off by pushing the power button.
• Unplug printer power cable and Printer USB Cable both from the computer and printer 's end and wait for at least 2 minutes.
• Remove Ink Cartridges and put it back in.
• Replug the printer power cable and USB cable to both computer and printer 's end.
• Turn printer back On.

These few simple steps would clear the error out. Hope this helps!
