Ensure that all cables are properly connected, restart pc as well as printer. On the printer icon, located in control panel, ie.

Click “start button” , click “control panel”, double click on the icon, go to hard drives or printers, right-click, and check the status of the printer.

Try canceling your documents.

If the document is still not printing or cancelling, you should re-install the cd that came with the printer.

Firstly, you should remove all programs associated with it, an insert cd in drive, install cd, restart pc and it should work fine.

If this happens very frequently or really your printer is totally stuck in Pause mode, check if your printer is attached to your CPU via USB cable. If it is then it is probably the power management setting that’s causing the problem. Each of the USB Root Hub is turned off by default and if this is what’s causing the problem then you can disable this option.

Right-click My Computer then select Properties. Select Hardware tab and click Device Manager. Scroll down to “Universal Serial Bus controllers” and click plus sign “+” to expand it. Double-click on the first USB Root Hub, go to Power Management tab, and uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”. Click OK to apply. See image.

Do it on all USB Root Hubs. Once finished, shut down your computer and turn off your printer. Once both machines are turned off, wait at least 10 seconds and then start the computer again but not the printer. Once fully booted, turn on the printer and check if it goes to Pause mode again. If the problem continues, uninstall your printer to remove the driver.

Click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. Find and select your printer’s software and click Remove or Uninstall to uninstall it from your computer. Once it is removed, go to Device Manager and check if your printer is really removed. If you still see it there, delete your printer and restart your computer.

Install your printer again after restarting your system. You can also download and install Print Spooler Fix Utility 1.0 to fix any print spooler service error that causes your printer to get stuck in Pause mode.
