Hello Techyv Guys,

I need to have instructions on downloading the software along with installation guide for that. Also need to know about how to use WinRar along with its features.

How to use WinRar Software

Hi David,

 

You can download WinRar at this link https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm. This software is easy to install, here are the guides on how to install WinRar:

Step 1: Once you downloaded WinRar, double click it and when you were asked for the permission to make changes to your computer just hit "Yes".

Step 2: If you are agreeing to the license agreement just continue to ne next page then hit install to begin the installation. This will not take a lot of time.

Step 3: When the installation is done you will be in the "WinRar Setup" that will allow you to choose what you want to associate to your WinRar. Once done hit "OK".

Step 4: A new installation will begin. Wait until it's done

You can now extract, compress and decompress all files and folders you want with WinRar.

How to use WinRar Software

Similar to 7-Zip, WinRAR is also a file archiver but not as good as 7-Zip in terms of compression ratio. WinRAR is a file archiver for 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows. The latest version is WinRAR 5.0 and among its features includes the RAR algorithm which has been upgraded and added the 256-bit AES encryption method to ensure the full protection of the data.

It fully supports ZIP and RAR files as well as the ability to convert and extract files in the formats CAB, ISO, ACE, ARJ, LZH, UUE, TAR, GZ, JAR, BZ2, Z, and 7-Zip archives. This is actually not a free application but you can use it for around 40 days with its free 40-day trial period.
