I need help, for quite some time now I have been experiencing inability to open OBJ files and that the computer I have been using is running slow. I have searched online and found an obj repair tool that I can use. Is it highly recommendable to use this one and can any one supply me a step-by-step process on using this? Or should I rather bring it to a professional software technician?
How to use an obj repair tool?
Hi Scott,
If you have the time and patience you can first try to use a Script editor software you can have it assess the software with error and the editor will check the log on what the error would be, the information about the error is found at the bottom of the log, it will have Error line then OBJ line #.
You can look for the .Obj file and open it up in notepad then go to the line corresponding to the OBJ line #. You will notice that the number are grouped, once you found the error # then you can make small changes on the value you can add plus 1 up to the 3rd group. Detailed instruction is found here.
Bringing it to a professional sometimes is the best resolution for issues as tedious as this, since checking codes and multiple lines would take a long time and using tools cannot give you a 100% assurance.
How to use an obj repair tool?
Hello Scott Broek,
Basically these types of software are general in purpose and they can repair the object of some of the software. But it is a best approach if you take it to the professional and he/she can see the error and can remove that one in a more efficient way instead of using a software for repairing the object. Because some times software are not much programmed to find out an error so it is good to hire a professional and repair the things from him.
