I think I can be able to help you with your query.
The Microsoft money 2005 export is used in such a way that you put your financial accounts into a worksheet like Ms Excel then transfer it to Microsoft Money 2005 program using the export wizard.
Once you are able to export the finances to the Money export software, you will be able to see your accounts changed to the money view format.
About viewing the money data in excel, the answer is yes,you can actually view the money data just by entering the values or pasting into the worksheet in excel.
