Hi guys,

How to use and set up hamachi? I need to make some private network between two computers using this hamachi software. I already have the software with me and the only thing I need to know is the configuration method. Can you please illustrate or describe it to me?

Dear Janet,

Hamachi is generally used for multiplayer gaming, its has some basic step to setup such as:

  1. You have to disable your firewall for Hamachi.
  2. In control panel go to network setting and next advance setting take Hamachi on top.
  3. Made default gateway 5.0.0.1 or as your configuration.
  4. Set “Automatic Metric” as default gateway.
  5. If u are using Win Vista deselect TCP/IP – V6 in Hamachi properties and select it as a private network.
  6. Done.

Hi Janet Campbel,

For using set up hamanchi you can,

 right click on Hamachi, and go to its properties. Select T/CPIP (v4) and go to 'Properties' > Advanced. Now ensure that default gateway is 5.0.0.1 There is another way, add/edit and set its metric to automatic. 

Below Default Gateways > Tick > Automatic metric.
