Hi to everyone,

How to transfer video from Linux to iPad 2?

I would like to carry the video from my computer down to my iPad 2 so that I can show it to my friends in school.

I never tried transferring one data to another device.

I hope you can guide me on the proper and correct procedure.

Thank you.

Hello Jeremy,

You need iTunes software to do this trick. You should know though that iPad only support file format like H264/MP and .MOV, so make sure you have that format because if not you need to convert it to that specific format is the video won't be viewed.

Heres what you need to do;

  1. Connect your iPad to your Linux OS through USB cable usually your charger cable.
  2. Fire up your iTunes application you should be able to see the name of your device.
  3. On your device you should see MUSIC or VIDEO  category or stuff like that.
  4. Now navigate to your videos and drag and drop it to your iTunes device.
  5. That's it.

Hope this solve your problem.
