I connected my computer to a network, but I am unable to access shared files. I am getting error 0x800704cf. The settings are fine as other computers can access the files. How to solve this problem?

How To Solve The File-sharing Problem On A Network In Windows 10 (error 0x800704cf)?

You should try to reset TCP/ IP and check the adapter settings to solve the 0x800704cf error. Here are the methods to do the same.

Method 1-

a. Right-click on the start menu, open settings.
b. Go to Network & Internet.

c. Click on Change adapter options.

d. Right-click on the connected network adapter.
e. Go to properties.

f. Uncheck the Client for Microsoft Networks option
g. Click on OK.
h. Restart your PC; you will not face the error.

Method 2

a. Open Command Prompt as admin.

b. Type ipconfig /flushdns, and press enter.
c. Type nbtstat –RR, and press enter.
d. Type netsh int ip reset, and press enter.
