Hello, if the 0x80042302 Windows 10 error occurs while trying to restore the Windows version, that means the windows system files are corrupt or missing. Follow the below-mentioned solutions to resolve the error.
Method 1:
- Hold win key + R; this opens up the run dialog box.
- Now enter services.msc in the Run dialog box and click on ok.
- Search for volume shadow copy in the opened window.
- If its services are disabled, then enable them.
- Now right-click on it and click on properties.
- Set its startup type to auto.
- Restart your PC.
Method 2:
- Open the command prompt.
- Run it as an administrator.
- Now, in the command prompt, enter “SFC/scan now” and click on Enter.
