Hi! I have this Acer laptop, and lately, I have detected some malware named fubtracking is present in it. What is it? I want to know the procedure of removing?
The fubtracking is a software component of Acer Preloaded Applications provided by Acer. It tracks application usage statics and sends it to Acer for analysis. Steps to remove fubtracking-
• Open your laptop in safe mode.
• Run a quick hardware scan using ‘cleanmgr.’
• Uninstall those applications which are now of no use for you.
• Enable Windows Automatic Update.
Before performing the above steps, I recommend you to do a quick backup.
• Execute DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image/Restorehealth command.
• Use Security Task Manager to display all running windows tasks.
• At last use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to remove all malware present including fubtracking.
