I get an error code – 80070425 on my Windows 10 PC. The error message is that the credential manager cannot accept the control message at this time. How to get rid of it?

How To Get Rid Of The Error Message 80070425 On Windows 10?

It may happen that the Credential Manager service is not automatic, and it is throwing the 80070425 error.

Method 1

a. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
b. Type services.msc and press enter.

c. Double click on Credential Manager.

d. Set Startup type to Automatic.
e. Click on Apply->OK.
f. Restart your device.

Method 2

a. Open Edge (Search in the Windows search box).
b. Open settings using the menu icon on the top-right corner.

c. View Advanced Settings.
d. Go to the Privacy and services section.
e. Search for Manage saved passwords and click on it.
f. When you see the list of entries, click on any one of them, and enter the password manually.
g. Save the changes.
h. Restart your PC.

Method 3

a. Open Credential Manager.

b. Go to Windows Credentials.
c. Add a generic credential.
d. Enter the information.
e. Save the changes.
f. You will not face the error anymore.
