Hello, the socket error occurs when you try to connect to the Internet through the proxy. It has a few reasons why it is not connecting. Let me just explain how to fix socket error 10060?.

There are several ways to solve this issue. But I prefer to use the method of increasing the time-limit to be increased for it to be connected.

1. Open Run wizard and type “regedit” then click “ok”.

2. Now navigate to registry subkey -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\W3Proxy\\Parameters.

3. Now click on the RequestTimeoutSecs option and then click “Modify”.

4. Now increase the value but make sure if it is above 180 and more. Click “ok”.

5. Restart the computer and try to connect it again.
