There can be several reasons for that type of failure. I have listed down possible solutions which will sort out this fault.

  1. You can try again by restarting TeamViewer.
  2. Possibly it can occur due to connectivity so just go to the application and enable logon for all users under Windows tab.
  3. Maybe both computers are using different version so update application on both systems.
  4. You can also disable the IPv6 protocol for your network.

For that go to Control Panel -> Network -> Adapter Settings -> Right click on your network and uncheck IPv6 protocol.

According to some users who encountered the same problem, they experienced it when the two computers are using different versions of TeamViewer. To try this, make sure both computers are using the same version. Download the latest TeamViewer for Windows and install it on both computers. Once both computers have the latest version, try connecting again and see if it works.

Another possible cause of the problem is your network adapter’s settings. If your network card has an IPv6 protocol option, try to disable it in the adapter. Click “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Network,” “Network Adapter Settings” then right-click your network adapter and uncheck to disable the IPv6 Protocol. See if this works.

Another workaround you may try is to disable your Windows Firewall or any third-party firewall you may be using. Disable it temporarily while you are using TeamViewer and just enable it back once you are finished. See if this works.
