I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop but, it is not getting charged whereas the charger is connected. Please provide some troubleshooting tips for Lenovo Battery Not Charging problem. Thanks in advance for the help.
The charger if plucked correctly and still not getting charged can be the problem of the AC adapter. Try the given steps to solve the trouble.
Steps to follow:
a. Remove the battery.
b. Remove the AC adapter (charger).
c. Press the Power button for 3-4 seconds (Forcibly Shut Down).
d. Insert the Battery.
e. Connect the Charger.
f. Update the BIOS.
g. Check the Motherboard for any other assistance.
Normally, when you plug the charger to the power and connect the charger to your laptop, the LED indicator on the laptop will immediately light up even if the laptop is turned off. But if the LED doesn’t activate after connecting the charger, there must be something wrong with your charger or there is no power on the outlet where you plug the charger.
Check if there is no problem with your power. Try to turn on the lights to verify that there is electricity. If there is no problem with the power, transfer the charger to another power outlet and see what happens. If your laptop still doesn’t charge, try connecting the charger to another laptop and see what happens.
If the other laptop powers up, there is a problem with the power supply of your laptop. You should bring it to a qualified service center for proper servicing. But if the other laptop also doesn’t charge, you probably need to replace your charger.
