I got a Latitude E6520 for my business and I purchased the system with the 2 graphic card feature, so I was told. I need to understand how to use this feature, how do I switch from 1 to the other and how can I tell which one's I'm using? And what is the advantage of having 2 graphic cards.

Dear Marcuz you have wisely selected a system for your business. It actually has Intel® HD Graphics 3000 and NVIDIA® NVSTM 4200M (DDR3 512MB) Discrete Graphics built inside. You can switch i. e by clicking the display icon from the tray or by right clicking on desktop and then going into display menu and selecting the VGA you want to be activated.

The graphics card that is being activated will be shown in the display menu as checked. The other one can be selected by a simple click of mouse. The basically use of having two displays is that the Intel one is more power optimized and increases your battery’s life time when you laptop is not plugged.

Whereas the NVIDIA one is performance oriented and delivers enhanced user experience by automatically enabling itself when plugged in. However you can force the both modes to be activated when ever you want. But I prefer you to leave the settings as default.
