How To Fix Error Com Surrogate Has Stopped Working Issue?

Hi all,

I am trying to use Windows 7 on one of my virtual machines, but as I click on My computer, an error pops up. It says “error com surrogate has stopped working.”

Someone, please help me in solving this problem.

How To Fix Error Com Surrogate Has Stopped Working Issue?

You can turn off DEP to solve this error or add an exception.

To do this in Windows 7,right-click on My Computer, then choose Properties, and then click on  Advanced system settings.

Under the Advanced tab, click on Settings.

Then, click on Data Execution Prevention and after that, click on Turn on DEP for all programs except those I select and also, add dllhost.exe to the list.
