To enable encryption in Windows 7-

  1. Go to start menu
  2. Enter encryption and then select the option change device encryption settings
  3. Then go to manage bitlocker and then turn it on
  4. You can also do this by right clicking​ in the disk you want to encrypt and then choose the bitlocker option

This is how encrypt the device.
