The purpose of Windows Remote Assistance is same with all the Windows Operating Systems. It provides the facility of connecting one remote computer to another where a user can resolve the issues on the remote computer from another Microsoft system without touching the remote unit.

To create a Windows Remote Assistance connection on Windows 7,
• Go to Control panel and select the “System and Security” option.
• Select “System” and “Remote Settings” options on the same Window. (An option enables Remote Assistance on the system).

The “Avast Remote Assistance” feature works by creating a secure remote desktop connection so you’ll be able to help your friend with any computer-related problem. The person on the other computer must accept the request to connect successfully. It doesn’t require installing any remote desktop application because it is already built-in to Avast.
