I use Firefox 4.0. Recently an update of Firefox was released. Whenever I try to connect to the Internet, it starts an automatic update. I don’t know how to stop it. It is very annoying to update Firefox all the time. I want a permanent "turn off" Firefox update. So, what can I do now?

If you don't like any updates from Firefox, you must use the latest version. It would not update anymore.
Try downloading it. But if you don't like to update it, for any reason try to follow these steps:
TOOLS>> PREFERENCE>>ADVANCED>>UPDATE Hope it would help you.
There's another way I think could help you stop updating your Firefox:
TOOLS>>OPTION>>ADVANCE>>UPDATE>>then click "Ask me what I want to do" instead of clicking the "Update Automatically".
If these two options don't work, try using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. There's no harm in using these two. It is also free in downloading. Just search for it and you can download it. There are also guidelines on how to download it. So there's no problem at all.
