Hello Mr. David

Usually this Shaking problem lies in display adapter drivers; you can change VLC settings to make video work.

If you are using Windows XP, simple way to fix is to disable Accelerated video output/Overlay video output which can be done as follows

·          Start VLC Player and Select Preferences  from Tool menu.

·          Un-Tick Accelerated video output

·          Save the VLC Settings by clicking on Save button

·          Now Restart VLC player.

Disabling Overlay video output mostly solves the problem if doesn't  then the next step is to change video output module, which can be done as:-

·          Start VLC Player and Select Preferences; Tick on Show Settings to All

·          Select Output Module from Video; you can find many output modules such as DirectX 3D, DirectX, OpenGL and Windows GDI.

·          Save the VLC Settings by clicking on Save button

·          Now Restart VLC player
