Is there any app for playing rm files in the iPod? I have a lot of rm files and I cant convert all of them. So, it would be helpful if there was an app that played rm files.

Hi,

Real media files are basically streaming files. No iPod supports this kind of files. Real media created an app but they did not get the permission to launch it. So there is no app to play rm files on iPod. Instead, you can try the following:

  1. Try to record the songs playing on your PC using some softwares that allow recording through your computer's sound card.
  2. There are a few softwares that convert bulk files at a time. You could use such a software and convert your files. It may be time consuming but there is no app to directly play rm files.

Rm player  for your iPod can easily be found on the net. You can find it through iPod official website.

Also you can try the latest version of Real Player and see if it won't convert the .rm file or burn it to a audio CD. You can also find a free application on apples official site that will record music playing off of your sound card.
