There are many softwares available on the net for data recovery but TestDisk is the best. It is a open-source tool. So you don't need to spend money on expensive softwares. It you have deleted some files accidently TestDisk can recover it from FAT, NTFS, and ext2 file systems

It also has lots of additional functionality. TestDisk  can even recover system boot sector from a backup, it can build your boot sector all over again. It can fix FAT tables and MFT. It can recover lost partitions in various formats enabling you to locate the data lost. It is NOT a GUI but a command line tool and hence it can interact with you system better.

You can download TestDisk at https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download

I hope it helps

Data is saved on hard disk as magnetic tape. When you delete any data, the data really can't be deleted from hard disk. Windows keeps the data to over write next time. But it is a long time (7 days) since you deleted the files. So I think now it is unrecoverable.

There are some softwares which can be used to recover deleted data.

1. Recover My Files

2. Mini Power Data Recovery

3. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard

There are more and more these kind of tools. You can try them. But though a long time has passed and you used your pc, so windows might have overwritten the data. But you can try to recover it.

When deleting a file from the computer, the contents of file are not immediately destroyed. What the operating system does is simply remove the directory and place it in the recycle bin. Even if you remove the file from recycle bin, you can still recover that file.

The operating system marks the hard disk space as being available to you for use. Before operating system overwrites that space on the hard disk, if you can manage to start the undo process straight away, the content of deleted file will stay on your hard disk for some time to come.

In your case, you delete the file several weeks ago, and if you used that space for another file it will be hard or impossible to recover the file. You have to download a recovery software and run a search.
