I have a worm, there is no doubt.I am saving my photos to Picasa/Google and plan to wipe the hard drive clean and reinstall windows 7.

Here are the question. Can I email to myself some documents(maybe 20) via yahoo mail and when i 'm back up running download them back?

Can or does the worm have a chance of reinfecting the computer  again!!!

Hi,

Yes you can transfer the files to yahoo. But Yahoo accepts only a specific limit of attachment. You can transfer the files to Yahoo. But make sure when you format your computer you install an Antivirus and Worm detecting software that can help you protect your computer when you download those files back if they contain any worm or virus in those files.

Don’t forget to update the database of the Virus detecting program so that it can detect all virus even which are new one which get updated by the Software company who owns the program. Basically some of the famous and effective applications for virus removal and protection are Quick Heal, Avast , McAfee etc.
