Hi Kristen,

It depends on the type of software you are using. Different software has different ways to delete hyperlinks on PDF files. The problem about PDF files, whenever you move your cursor to a URL or an email address, it will be read as links even though these are plain text.

If you are using Acrobat Standard or Pro, you can click on Tools menu and choose the Advanced Editing and Link Tool. By doing so, it will make links visible in rectangle forms or you can try the Advanced menu then Document Processing and choose the Remove All Links option.

Hi Kristen James,

  1. Open "Adobe Acrobat," and open the PDF file that have the links that you desire to eliminate.
  2. Click the "Link Tool" button, which has a chain-link icon. Click once on the hyperlink that you wish for to delete. A red border will show around the link.
  3. Click the "Edit" drop-down menu, and choose the "Delete" option. This will eliminate the link. The red border around the link will be deleted.

Thanks.
