You can recover deleted files in UBUNTU LINUX by using the SCALPEL – one of the best command line tool. You can install it by running the command :

• Apt-get install scalpel
• In your terminal.

After installing, you will just have to run the command :

• Scalpel/dev/sda1 -o output.
• In terminal to recover your data.

You can find the recovered files in the "OUTPUT" directory or you can specify a directory of your choice just make sure that the said directory does not exist in your system because scalpel creates directory by itself.
