Hi techyv,
How to open rar files with explorer? My business partner sent a message with an attachment rar file via email , I opened my email address using internet explorer browser. How can I open the .rar file from the internet?

Hello, hope this one works for you.
First, start Registry Editor by running Regedit.
Then, export the registry entry to some file name (this will serve as your backup, just in case you make a mistake).
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/applications/find the “explorer.exe” entry there and then click.
On the right side of the screen, you will see some entries with “NoOpenWith” among them. (This has to be deleted. To delete, right-click then delete.)
Close Registry Editor.
Find one of your RAR files. (Right-click then select “Properties”.) Under the General Tab you will see the “Opens with” entry and the “Change” button on its right, click on that button, then pick your new default program.

It's very simple if you just download the file from the internet. All you have to do is just download Winzip or Winrar or any other unzipping software. Install them on your PC or laptop. Open your desired file with the software and then extract.

It is very easy to open a .rar file. Here are the steps.
*First off, you need to download WINRAR. Here is the link.
*Once you download it, you need to install it in your computer. Installation shouldn’t take longer than 2 minutes.
*After you install it in your computer, download the attachment from your e-mail and WinRAR will open the file for you.
*You will see a pop up reminder saying that you are using a free version but you may just ignore and close it.
*Select the file and click on the "extract to" button.
*Select the destination where you want to put the extracted file and press ok.

Hope this will help you,
< It need an application like win rar or ALZip ( a tool to open it ).
< By just simply downloading it from rar lab and install it in your computer since it is a support program file.
< Using this you can open a rar file without it you cannot open it.
NOTE: There is no way to open it via internet and it need to download it before you can open any rar file.
