How to monitor HDD/SDD raids on a server?

Hi! I need to monitor HDD/SDD raids on the server, SMART errors and etc. I have LSI00331 (LSI Logic MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i KIT), OS Windows Server 2012 std, for that LSI offers only its utility MegaRAID Storage Manager, but with that one I can only check if it is online or not so may be you can advise something else?

How to monitor HDD/SDD raids on a server?

Since you need a tool or a utility for checking or monitoring the SMART status of your hard disk and solid state RAID drives, try using SMART Monitoring Tools. This SMART monitoring tools package contains 2 utility programs: the smartctl and the smartd. Their function is to control and track storage systems using SMART system or the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology system.

You can also install the GSmartControl tool separately in case you don’t want to install the complete SMART Monitoring Tools package. The GSmartControl tool is a GUI or graphical user interface for smartctl. It is used for controlling and querying SMART data on modern HDDs or hard disk drives and SSDs or solid state drives.
