How to make disk image in Apple with understanding steps

To learn how to make disk image, first open the disk utility which is located in applications under utilities. Open a blank disk image from the file menu after which give it a name while saving it. The disk image will have the extension .dmg. Choose a location where the file needs to be saved. A size too needs to be selected for the disk image after which the format for the image needs to be selected. Then, choose the encryption for the disk image so as to protect its contents with the help of a password. Then, create the image file and enter the password.
